Country platforms
Supporting country-led mechanisms that bring together public and private finance, industry, and government to build pipelines of investable projects aligned with national transition priorities. GFANZ has supported several major country platforms – by convening private finance and providing strategic counsel – including the Brazil Climate & Ecological Transformation Investment Platform (BIP) and the Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs) in Indonesia and Viet Nam. GFANZ also provides advice to countries considering developing country platforms, including through the Country Platform Hub.

Sector-specific solutions
Supporting initiatives that provide project preparation support or develop solutions to sector-specific investment barriers. GFANZ is the private finance partner to the Industrial Transition Accelerator, which develops solutions to investment barriers for decarbonization projects in heavy-emitting sectors, including cement, steel, and shipping. GFANZ engages private finance to support infrastructure project preparation facilities, such as the G20 Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF).

Capacity building
As a partner of the Global Capacity Building Coalition, GFANZ actively supports efforts to accelerate and scale climate and transition finance capacity building for policymakers, financial institutions, and finance professionals, particularly in emerging markets and developing economies.
